Your Los Angeles Chargers needed reassurance in the linebacker position after losing Drue Tranquill to their division rival Kansas City Cheifs. So, LA signed All-Pro linebacker Eric Kendricks from the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings released Kendricks in early March, and he was free to sign with any team he chose. A few teams could have needed a talent like the 31-year-olds, but the Bolts were lucky enough to sign him.

Kendricks appeared on media personalities Kay Adams' show Up & Adams and discussed various topics. Adams asked Eric about his thoughts on Pro Bowl QB Justin Herbert and how he was a factor in choosing a team to sign with.

Kendricks called Herbert "legit" and said he was one of the main factors in signing with the Bolts. Could you blame him?!? Herbert is one of the league's best young, up-and-coming quarterbacks and will only get better. Through three seasons in the league, Herbert already has 94 touchdowns, 67% completion, over 14000 yards, and a rating of 96.2.

The 25-year-old can do it all, and he's just getting started. He will only get better with his new offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, and the weapons the front office will continue to surround him with. The two are going to help each other, alongside Joey Bosa, Derwin James, and Khalil Mack, to put the clamps on opposing teams.

Kendricks is coming off a 2022 season where he found great team success with the Vikings. The UCLA alum had 87 solo tackles, the most in his career, 8 tackles for loss, and 6 passes defended. He's a much-needed piece for the Bolts, and we can't wait to see how he fits alongside Brandon Staley's defense.
