Almost immediately after Austin Ekeler of the Los Angeles Chargers requested a trade, the odds of LA drafting highly coveted Bijan Robinson shot up. The team has been unable to come to an agreement with Ekeler on an extension this free agency and they have granted him permission to explore a new destination.

Therefore, in Yahoo Sport's second mock draft for the franchise, writer Gavin Borquez predicts that the scouting department for LA will opt to take the running back out of Texas in the first round. Fans of the Bolts love what they've seen from the prospect in his college matches and believe he could help them win games upon arrival.

"I’ve said this before, but I do not advocate taking a running back in the first round," said Borquez. "But if it’s Robinson, an exceptional talent, you can’t pass up on him. The Chargers could be entering the draft without a No. 1 running back if Austin Ekeler is traded. But even if Ekeler is still on the roster, Los Angeles has shown they have struggled to develop running backs taken on Day 3 of the draft. With Robinson, he would step in from Day 1 and boost the Bolts’ rushing attack and passing game."

Robinson is no stranger to the spotlight that would come if he suits up for Los Angeles next year as he was the number one running back in his class back in high school. He would go on to have a storied collegiate career at Texas that saw him reach the school's top four in rushing yards with 3,410 and touchdowns with 41.

Let's take a look at what Chargers fans think about Robinson !
