The Austin Ekeler situation between himself and the Chargers has been complex. We're unsure what the Bolts will do about Ekele, but something can go down in the NFL Draft. A ton of trades go down at the NFL Draft, and there's a possibility Ekeler could be on the move next weekend.

At least according to NFL Draft insider Chris Trapasso who believes the Philadelphia Eagles will trade for the star running back by using their number 30 overall pick.

According to a recent seven-round mock draft from Chris Trapasso, after staying put at No. 10 overall and taking pass rusher Jalen Carter, the Eagles will be sending No. 30 overall to the Chargers in exchange for playmaking running back Austin Ekeler and the 54th pick.

I doubt the number 30 overall pick would be the price for Ekeler, but that would be something. First, it would take Ekeler out of the conference, which would be the best scenario if they trade him.

It would be a massive loss for the Chargers to lose a player like Austin, but they could make up for that by using one of their picks on a running back. They haven't landed on a consistent running back to back up Austin, but if they trade him, they must find someone to take over those duties.

Ekeler requested a trade from the Chargers in mid-March due to his contract situation. He wants to get paid more, and the Chargers don't seem to want to pay him that money. The 27-year-old RB has been out-performing his contract despite not making a Pro Bowl.

If the Chargers trade Austin, for the sake of the fans and team, hopefully, they get major compensation for his talents.

The Chargers rather keep Ekeler, so we'll see if it remains that way.
