Chargers WR Jalen Guyton to Begin Season on PUP List

When will we see Guyton back on the gridiron?

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Jalen Guyton will start the season on the physically unable to perform list (PUP).

NFL insider Ian Rapoport was among the first to report.

The Chargers resigned Guyton as a free agent even though he went down early in the 2022 season with a torn ACL.

Prior to the Chargers' second preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, Guyton was seen doing some light running on the field, and all signs point to he could play this upcoming season soon.

The 26-year-old was brought onto the team in 2019 as an undrafted rookie. In his four-year career with the Bolts, he's recorded 61 receptions, 1023 yards, and six touchdowns.

If Guyton is able to see the field in 2023, the Chargers will have the deepest wide receiver room in the league and weapons galore for star QB Justin Herbert.

Guyton will miss the first four games of the season, and if all goes well, hopefully, he doesn't miss any more time he doesn't need to.
