Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers on Biggest Stage: 'Nothing Better!' Says Micah Parsons

The Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers are meeting on Sunday Night Football in what will be a brutal test of each team's credentials, and Micah Parsons can't wait.

The Dallas Cowboys travel to face their NFL equivalent of kryptonite when they face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night. Kyle Shanahan's team has ended Dallas' season in the last two years, with this Week 5 clash having a lot more riding on it than just the end result.

In what is a true heavyweight clash, both Dallas and San Francisco will enter the ring ready to throw knockout punches every chance they get.

For Cowboys "Lion-backer" Micah Parsons, two storied rivals going at it on national television will make for riveting viewing.

"For sure. It's always a slug[fest]," Parsons said. "These matchups are always gonna be hard-fought. I feel like they play us harder than anybody, and I definitely feel like it's gonna be one of those games. I do [love it]."

The build-up to the Week 5 clash has largely been centered around the mental side of what a win or a loss could do for the Cowboys. A win would show that Mike McCarthy's team can, indeed, match it with the best, while a loss would make it three consecutive against Shanahan's team.

It has been billed as a true titanic clash between two powerhouses of the game, and Parsons is ready to play...now.

"I've been tapped into my mode all week," Parsons said. "I feel great. I'm ready to get after it [literally] right now. I really try to stay in [my mode], but for games like this, because of how they look at it, and how we look at it, it's one of the biggest stages. It's Cowboys [versus] 49ers. It's nothing better."

With still so many question marks surrounding the Cowboys outside the building, Sunday night's game is a chance to answer many of those questions.

It's a big-time playoff game in early October, and with a lot riding on the result, the Cowboys can show that the 2023 version is to be taken far more seriously than it has been through the opening four weeks.
