2024 NFL Mock Draft: Which Surprise QBs are Flying Up the Board?

See which quarterback prospects have their draft stock moving in the right direction in this early mock draft.

The first two weeks of full college football slates are officially in the books, and we're already seeing some movement when it comes to the second tier of this year's loaded quarterback class.

Multiple prospects have delivered some impressive performances already this season, giving their draft stock a boost as the NFL finally kicks of its regular season.

Which of those talented signal-callers are flying up the board?

According to the latest 2024 NFL mock draft from Pro Football Network, it's Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Michigan's J.J. McCarthy, both of whom land among the top 10 picks. Sanders skyrockets up to the No. 5 overall pick (Las Vegas Raiders) in this projection, while McCarthy lands at No. 7 overall (Los Angeles Rams).

USC's Caleb Williams is still the obvious choice at No. 1 overall (Arizona Cardinals), while Drake Maye remains the second quarterback off the board at No. 4 overall (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

One more quarterbacks sneaks into this mock, as Washington's Michael Penix Jr. grabs the No. 29 overall slot (San Francisco 49ers). That leaves the likes of Florida State's Jordan Travis, Oregon's Bo Nix, and others waiting until Day 2 to hear their names called.

Other prospects who are rising up the board and into this first-round forecast after strong starts to the 2023 college football season include Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman (No. 10 overall, New England Patriots) and UCLA edge defender Laiatu Latu (No. 13 overall, Atlanta Falcons).
