The big-name quarterbacks for both teams were on the sidelines for the entirety of Thursday night's Hall of Fame game, giving a rookie signal-caller his opportunity to steal the show.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson did just that in the NFL's preseason opener, leading a second-half comeback win over the New York Jets.

Thompson-Robinson completed eight of his 11 pass attempts for 82 yards, including the game-winning touchdown pass, and added 36 more yards on the ground as the Browns scored 14 unanswered points in the second half on their way to a 21-16 victory.

His most memorable play of the night wasn't even a pass or run of his own, either. Thompson-Robinson threw and impressive block that sealed the edge and sprung running back Demetric Felton Jr. for a 16-yard touchdown run. The score capped off a 13-play, 93-yard scoring drive on Thompson-Robinson's first possession of the night:

A fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of UCLA, Thompson-Robinson already looks like a promising player with tons of potential who should have been selected much earlier. After five years of starting experience for the Bruins, it looks like "DTR" was more than ready for the bright lights of his prime-time NFL debut.
