KWADIR DELGADO-MCINTYRE

HT: 5062
WT: 179
ARM: 2768
HAND: 838
WING: 6800

Evaluation: (APR 23)

Wore #26 at HUB Football CAMP. A safety/slot/star type player who is a solid open-field tackler but may be best utilized as a punt returner. Despite playing in a notorious zone scheme in college, Delgado-McIntyre thrived in press-man coverage at HUB, jamming receivers at the line of scrimmage and demonstrating effective mirror coverage ability, in addition to showing great awareness; often using the sideline as an extra defender to his advantage. Plus, his high-point vertical was on full display. Lacks ideal height but possesses a compact frame. Has very good lateral quickness and excellent change of direction. However, he needs to continue to develop his flexibility and hip fluidity. Overall, he flashed natural ball-skills, instincts and the versatility to be an asset to any team. An All-Conference standout who earned a reputation for having a strong work ethic, Delgado-McIntyre would do well in an alternate league to prove that his talent, heart and passion outweigh his lack of prototypical size. KDM works like a pro and trains to stay ready for any given opportunity.

Background:

Previously participated in the XFL Showcase (DC), ANC Combine and NSC Combine in 2022. A two-time captain at Southern Connecticut State University (2019-21), where he played cornerback, safety, punt returner and nickelback. An All-Area and All-Conference selection at Hamden High School; team captain. Was a high school baseball standout and was named All-Conference. From Hamden, Connecticut; son of Dawn Delgado and Stanley McIntyre. Majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Evaluation: (NOV 22)

Wore #49 at HUB Football CAMP. A versatile defender, Delgado-McIntyre has experience playing cornerback, safety and special teams, as a return weapon. He demonstrated excellent athleticism, along with smooth change of direction skills at HUB Football CAMP on 11/13/22. Despite his size limitations, he proved capable of handling various wideouts throughout the day: big, small, fast, physical and performed well during one-on-one drills. An intense competitor, Delgado-McIntyre hails from a military family (dad was in the army) and is one of eight siblings. His tenacity shows up on the field, as he has been known to lay the lumber when given the opportunity. A notorious hard worker and team leader, Delgado-McIntyre can add depth to any secondary, while making an impact on special teams and will provide a great presence inside the locker room.
