Scouting Report:

The Lamar University product is a ball of energy on the field. The hard hitting linebacker is a lot of fun to watch. He uses elite understanding of the game to take excellent angles to the ball. Spencer is super disciplined and trusts his eyes. He will not break from his gap responsibility and ends up with a ton of stops because of it. When asked to fill a gap he does it with authority. He has quick feet and changes direction well. Spencer uses his hands very effectively to break off blocks at the second level. He has shown a raw ability to rush the passer as well, though he has not developed a ton of moves in the pass rush. Spencer is more of a zone coverage linebacker and can use his eyes and quickness to cover a ton of ground. He should be able to develop into a reliable man coverage linebacker with his length and solid change of direction. Spencer just needs an opportunity.
