Syracuse announced that tackle Koda Martin, a graduate transfer from Texas A&M, has enrolled and is eligible to play immediately.

Syracuse head coach Dino Babers is Martin’s father-in-law, and Kirk Martin, his father, is in his first season as quarterback coach for the Orange.

The younger Martin announced in a Twitter post last month that he would make the move.

“I receive my degree in May, and this chapter of my life is coming to a close,” Martin wrote, adding that playing for his father-in-law and father was “an opportunity that I didn’t want to pass up.”

The 6-foot-6, 310-pound Martin played in 13 games for the Aggies last season, starting all but two at left tackle for an offense that averaged nearly 390 yards per game.

Martin married Babers’ daughter, Jazzmin Babers, a former volleyball star at Texas A&M, last July.
