Trey Benson's 3 TDs Power FSU to Critical Win vs. Florida

After losing their quarterback to injury, Florida State rode their star running back to victory over their in-state rival.

Florida State had every reason to pack it in after losing starting quarterback Jordan Travis to a season-ending leg injury last week, but they wouldn't let that happen Saturday night against rival Florida.

Behind a dominant performance from running back Trey Benson, the Seminoles left Gainesville with a 24-15 victory to remain undefeated on the season as they head to the ACC title game against Louisville, keeping their College Football Playoff hopes alive for at least another week.

Benson finished the night with 95 yards on 19 carries, scoring all three of FSU's touchdowns. His third score was a 26-yarder that included multiple broken tackles, and put the game out of reach in the final minutes:

Benson has been one of the best running backs in the country all season long, and with his complete skill set, it won't be surprising if he's the first one off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft.
