WATCH: Zay Flowers Embarrasses Defender During Practice

The Ravens' first-round pick made a would-be defender look silly during joint practices with the Commanders.

When the Baltimore Ravens spent their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers, they envisioned moments like the one we saw this week during the team's joint practices with the Washington Commanders.

Despite his lack of ideal size, Flowers has always been able to win with elite route-running ability and short-area quickness, both of which he put on full display during a practice rep that one Commanders defender will want to forget.

Watch Flowers absolutely cook his defender on this route for the easy reception, showing off all the skills that made him a first-round pick:

The Ravens are expected to open up the offense in a big way under new coordinator Todd Monken, allowing Lamar Jackson to air it out way more often than he could under Greg Roman.

Don't be surprised when Flowers is a big part of that expanded passing game this season and beyond.
