DeSean Jackson - 'Philadelphia Eagles for Life!' - Unhappy Over Money: '(Bleep) The NFL!'

A couple of days ago, in a ceremonious move, DeSean Jackson "retired as a Eagle,'' capping off his explosive 15-year career in the NFL with a final hug and handshake with the Philadelphia Eagles.

But now he is making it clear he'd like something else.

"(Bleep) the NFL,'' Jackson said during an appearance on the "No Jumper" podcast. "That (bleep) was cool, but what's next?''

What is Jackson talking about? Money.

"The hustler I am, I ain’t satisfied with the money I made in the NFL,” Jackson said. "I would meet you today, and you wouldn’t even think I made $100-plus million in the NFL!

"I'm trying to go touch some Magic Johnson-type (bleep)."

It is estimated that Jackson, who spent seven seasons with the Eagles before signing a three-year contract with Washington in 2014 and then bouncing around the league - including a stint when he returned to the Eagles in 2019 - earned between $90 million and, as he noted, $100 million.

Not enough? Not enough?

"Guess what? That money right there, that’s going to make my future be cool for my kids,'' he said. "But right now, I still need bread, so I’m out here getting all type of stuff, going private equity, real estate."

That sounds like a plan for Jackson, and of course emulating NBA legend Magic Johnson - who has become a business tycoon and is now part owner of the Washington Commanders - is also wise.

In 183 career games, Jackson grabbed 641 passes for 11,263 yards and 58 touchdowns. ... and we wish him luck as he "hustles'' to grab his next $100 million.
