The Carolina Panthers finally have a formidable pass rusher to compliment Mario Addison.

They drafted Florida State defensive end Brian Burns with the No. 16 pick in the NFL Draft. He is a 6-foot-5, 250 pound linebacker that ran a 4.5 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Burns has the capability of coming off the edge as a defensive end, or even playing in coverage as an outside linebacker. The sky is the ceiling for Burns, and he has veteran's in Addison and Bruce Irvin to help coach him up.

The Panthers appear to be in good hands with general manager Marty Hurney -- who has made many quality moves this offseason. Now, Carolina will have to shift their focus towards drafting or finding a left tackle that can be trusted as a reliable starter.
