As the Rams travel east to Baltimore on Sunday, fans will be treated to a matchup between two of the best rookie wideouts in the game. Puka Nacua was drafted by Los Angeles with the 177th overall pick in the fifth round of last April's NFL Draft. And he's wasted no time in setting himself apart.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh isn't at all surprised by Nacua's 77 catches for 1,029 yards this season.

“I liked him. He was one of my highest-rated guys. You can ask anybody here. ... He was way up on my board," the Baltimore coach said with a smile this week. "He’s playing exactly how I thought he would, for the record.”

Harbaugh has his own rookie phenom in Zay Flowers, the Ravens' first-round pick at No. 22. Harbaugh's rookie pass catcher has 613 yards on 58 catches for the Ravens - who are deeper at receiver than the Rams are. Last week against the Chargers, Flowers registered two scores, one through the air and one on the ground.

“I’ve definitely seen what he’s been doing, so it’s been so cool, especially for one of the young guys,” Nacua said. “I love watching receivers and people getting open and scoring touchdowns. That’s a fun thing I like to watch about football, so watching him play is definitely exciting.”

Baltimore has won six of its last seven and has a two-game lead in the AFC North over the Steelers and Browns. Los Angeles has won three in a row which has put them back in NFC playoff contention.

Nacua has been limited in practice this week but needs 445 yards receiving over the next five games to break Bill Groman's NFL rookie record, and 28 catches to break the single-season rookie record owned by Jaylen Waddle.
