Ravens Free Agency: CB Rock Ya-Sin Visits with Baltimore

The focus for the Baltimore Ravens front office this offseason has been to re-sign quarterback Lamar Jackson. But there are plenty of other areas where the team can improve through free agency and next month's NFL Draft.

On Friday, Pro Football Focus' top-ranked cornerback visited the Ravens, as Rock Ya-Sin came to town.

Ya-Sin could serve as a replacement for Marcus Peters, who himself is a free agent and No. 9 on PFF's list. So at least according to one ranking system, Ya-Sin would be an improvement.

Ya-Sin, 26, is entering his fifth year in the league after being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in Round 2 (34th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft and is already seeking his third team.

Last season with the Raiders, Ya-Sin played in just 11 games and registered only 45 tackles and one quarterback hit. But should he play in Baltimore alongside corner Marlon Humphrey and safeties Marcus Williams and Kyle Hamilton, he could play a little more loosely and potentially have more freedom.

The Ravens are losing a lot of production if Peters leaves for a big bag of money. Peters registered 138 tackles, two sacks, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, eight interceptions and 25 passes defended in his three seasons as a Raven.

But Ya-Sin could be a good fit if the money is right for general manager Eric DeCosta and the Ravens.
