Bud Dupree Hints at Return to Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Bud Dupree could be close on a deal.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers and Bud Dupree feel like the perfect fit. After his release from the Tennessee Titans, fans are seemingly waiting on the news of the outside linebacker returning to the Steel City, but so far, there has been nothing.

That could be changing soon, though. The former first-round pick received a text message during Ramon Foster's live show, and his response left many believing he's headed back to the Burgh.

Foster texted Dupree, asking if he's coming back to Pittsburgh. His response was two emojis that definitely carried some - has to be interpreted - context.

According to Foster, Dupree's response was the smiley face emoji followed by the "shh" emoji. 🙂🤫

Now, as a self-proclaimed emoji specialist, those two are not used together often in regard to saying, "I am not returning to Pittsburgh." Interpret the response as you will, but even Foster acknowledged it was a good sign.

The Steelers reportedly have interest in Dupree but are waiting on medical evaluations before signing him. Dupree is reportedly seeing what his market is, but the conclusion seems that the two sides are a perfect fit at this point in time.

It's hard to believe the Steelers and Dupree's representation haven't spoken yet. So, maybe, the outside linebacker knows something big is coming.
