Deshaun Watson Recruiting DeAndre Hopkins to Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers could end up with a new enemy in DeAndre Hopkins.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers might have a new enemy in town as Deshaun Watson is openly recruiting free agent DeAndre Hopkins to the Cleveland Browns.

Watson told reporters that he's spoken with Hopkins about joining the Browns and is leaving it in the hands of general manager Andrew Berry to make the move.

"Of course, we would love to have him. He knows that," Watson said.

The Browns have 16/1 odds to sign Hopkins at BetOnline.ag. They sit right behind the Baltimore Ravens (8/1) in the AFC North.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler named the Browns as a "dark horse" to land the All-Pro receiver, stating Hopkins would like to rejoin Watson. The two combined for 315 receptions, 4,115 yards and 31 touchdowns and went 24-13 during their time together on the Houston Texans.

Hopkins would join a growing wide receiver group in Cleveland of Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and rookie Cedric Tillman. They'd matchup with a new cornerback room in Pittsburgh consisting of Patrick Peterson, Levi Wallace, Joey Porter Jr., Chandon Sullivan and Cory Trice Jr.
