Diontae Johnson Returns for Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers get their top wide receiver back on the field.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers get their top wide receiver back on the field as they head into Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams. The team announced Diontae Johnson's 21-day practice window has officially opened, allowing him to return from Injured Reserve.

Johnson missed the last four weeks due to a hamstring injury that landed him on IR. He told All Steelers last week that he's back to 100% and plans to play against the Rams, marking his first game since Week 1.

"The trainers, I appreciate them for pushing me through that whole process, keeping my head level. Not coming in here down," Johnson said. "I always had a positive attitude when I came in here and I was ready to work. Whatever they threw at me, I was going to do what I had to do to get it done."

Johnson isn't officially off IR yet but could be before the team travels to Los Angeles. If he's not, the team will have the entire 21 days to activate him.
