Steelers DT Cam Heyward Headed to Sixth Pro Bowl

The Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle is a late addition to the Pro Bowl.

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward is headed to his sixth Pro Bowl, replacing Kansas City Chiefs star Chris Jones.

Heyward was originally named an alternative to the Pro Bowl games but will now replace Jones, who's headed to the Super Bowl. This is the sixth-straight Pro Bowl appearance for the Steelers' defensive captain.

Heyward may be closing in on 35 years old but that hasn't done anything to impact his play on the field. The All-Pro defensive lineman has totaled 55 tackles, eight for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass deflections, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery so far this season.

While the Pro Bowl is no more, the NFL has replaced the annual all-star game with what they're calling the "Pro Bowl Games." The headlining event will be a flag football competition.
