Steelers Sign Former Tulane WR to Practice Squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers add the former Green Bay Packers wideout to their practice squad.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers announced a number of roster moves, including the addition of former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Duece Watts to their practice squad.

Watts, 23, joins the Steelers after spending the summer with the Packers as an undrafted rookie. The former Tulane product started his college career as a JUCO player at Jones College after being just a two-star recruit out of high school. He eventually went on to finish his three years in the NCAA with 81 catches for 1,407 yards and 16 touchdowns, including seven his final season.

Watts replaces Dez Fitzpatrick on the Steelers practice squad after they promoted the wideout to the active roster. Fitzpatrick's promotion came after the team placed Diontae Johnson on Injured Reserve due to a hamstring injury.

The Steelers also announced they signed former Atlanta Falcons running back Godwin Igwebuike and promoted Breiden Fehoko to the active roster.
