Steelers Unsung Hero Quickly Becoming Star

This Pittsburgh Steelers special teamer has turned it up these last two weeks.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are on a little winning streak. After claiming victories in their Week 2 and Week 3 matchups, the team sits in first place in the AFC North and feel pretty good about bouncing back from their Week 1 disaster against the San Francisco 49ers.

The wins have been a collective effort, with the defense playing like one of the best in the NFL and the offense finally finding a groove in their win over the Las Vegas Raiders. But there's a name who had plenty of questions coming into the season who has shut down all the critics as of late.

That name is Pressley Harvin.

After averaging just 42.3 yards per punt in the season opener, the Steelers brought in Brad Wing for a workout to test the waters on an outside option. Well, Harvin must have heard the news because he's turned his leg up another notch since.

In Week 2, Harvin averaged 45.7 YPP with four landing within the 20-yard line. In Week 3, on the road, he averaged 52.4 yards per punt, and in the biggest moment of the game, dropped a ball inside the 10-yard line that the Raiders muffed.

Any and all questions about Harvin have been erased. The play needs to continue, but the faith should be high in the Steelers' punter moving forward. And while Kenny Pickett and the offense continue to put positive plays together as they build their mojo, Harvin's leg will play a crucial role in the success of this team.
