Ravens Have Essentially Lost Lamar Jackson

There's no coming back for the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson.

PITTSBURGH -- The Baltimore Ravens are going to make the AFC North a lot easier for teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers because, at this point, there's no winning Lamar Jackson back.

Jackson remains the hottest topic around the NFL as he awaits a new deal and/or the franchise tag. He wants a fully-guaranteed deal with the Ravens, but Baltimore doesn't want to continue the trend set by the Cleveland Browns and Deshaun Watson.

So, what are the options? The franchise tag seems to be at the top of the list for Baltimore, but that leaves the door open for another team to steal Jackson - and judging from the interest around the league, that would happen quickly.

There's also the idea of a trade. The Ravens could try and get more draft picks than the two they'd get from the tag, but where does that leave them? Realistically, it means Baltimore takes a year off from competing for the division or the conference.

Either way, it appears keeping Jackson in Baltimore is slim, and the Ravens might need to take their losses and move on before they make things more difficult for themselves.

Plus, ESPN predicts a replacement for Cam Sutton in the Steelers' defensive backfield, and Andy Weidl is probably close to being on his way out of Pittsburgh.

Oh, and a $1.4 million renovation you'll want to hear about.
