Steelers Do Not Care About Brock Purdy

The Pittsburgh Steelers keep ignoring the question.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to be Brock Purdy's first loss in the National Football League, but to do so, they don't believe it's about stopping the San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

Instead, it's about stopping everyone else. They've talked about tackling, they've talked about stopping the run, and they've talked about overcoming the defense. What they've also talked about is how Purdy has tells, and how they already feel confident they'll end up with an interception in this ball game.

Every time you ask about Purdy, the response is about Kyle Shanahan. Every single time.

It obviously takes a lot of talent to be in the NFL, but after covering this team for five years, most good quarterbacks get complimented by opposing defenses. Very rarely do they get ignored as much as this one.

Maybe the Steelers are truly just focused on everything else. Or, maybe they really aren't that confident in Purdy's talent.
