Forward Fraser Minten Inks Contract Extension With Bruins
The Bruins have signed forward Fraser Minten to a seven-year contract extension which goes until 2033-34 and has an annual cap hit of $7.2 million.

The organization made the announcement in a press release on Tuesday morning.
“We are excited to have signed Fraser to a long-term extension,” said Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney. “Since joining our organization, Fraser has continued to grow and earn the accelerated trust of his teammates and coaching staff. His hockey sense, competitiveness, responsible two-way game, and offensive growth make him a valuable player for our group. This is a mutual long-term commitment that reflects our confidence in Fraser and the important role he will play, as well as Fraser’s belief in our team moving forward.”
Minten joined the Bruins on March 7, 2025, after being traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs alongside a 2025 fourth-round pick and conditional 2026 first-round pick in exchange for defenseman Brandon Carlo.
After being added to Boston’s roster, Minten played in six games in 2024-25 and had one goal for one point.
In 2025-26, Minten played in 82 regular-season games and tallied 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 points as well as had a plus-21 rating. He also skated in all six of Boston’s Stanley Cup Playoff games, but did not record a stat.
His rating was the second-highest among the team last season just behind defenseman Jonathan Aspirot who notched a +30 rating.
The Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada native was a 2022 second-round selection by the Maple Leafs.
