How to Watch Detroit Red Wings vs NY Rangers in Eastern Conference Showdown

The New York Rangers will be in action for a Saturday matinee at Madison Square Garden against the Detroit Red Wings.
While the Rangers might not be making the playoffs this year, they will be hoping to play spoiler and end the season on a high note down the stretch. On Thursday, they were unable to keep their winning streak alive against the Montreal Canadiens, who were able to defeat them by a score of 3-2.
In that matchup, they did see star defenseman Adam Fox extend his points streak to five games, with the 28-year-old scoring his seventh goal of the season. While New York might not have been able to slow down the Canadiens in that matchup, they will have a chance to deal the Red Wings a bad loss and hurt their playoff hopes.
With this being a matchup between two Original 6 teams, The Garden will undoubtedly have some buzz on Saturday afternoon. Here’s how to watch.

This exciting matchup will be featured on ABC for the national audience, and like most games in the Eastern Conference, there is going to be a lot on the line. With the wild card situation in the conference being so close, every point counts, and Detroit will be hoping to get two against a Rangers team that isn’t in the playoff picture.
With this game being the first of a back-to-back for New York, it is going to be the returning Jonathan Quick in the net for the Rangers. The 40-year-old has been out of action since March 18th but will be getting the start on Saturday against the Red Wings.
It has not been a great season for the veteran goalie of the Rangers this campaign. So far, he has totaled a 5-16-2 record and has allowed 3.19 goals per game, and also has a save percentage of .889.
At his age, this could be the end of the road for Quick. He has had a great career, but at 40 years old, father time might be calling. If that is the case, with limited games to go on the schedule, this could be one of his final games. If that ends up being the case, hopefully, he will go out on a positive note to end the season.
