Recent MLB Hall of Famer Larry Walker has called upon to be Colorado Avalanche’s emergency goalie against the Vegas Golden Knights this Saturday. Per League stipulations, every NHL arena is required to have an emergency backup goalie in case either team can’t use their active goalies. The most recent case of this took place In February where David Ayres, a Zamboni driver, became the emergency goalie for the Carolina Hurricanes. Ayres found much success in the game, blocking 8 out of 10 shots and helping the Canes secure a win against Maple Leafs.
