Simone Biles Packs on the PDA With Jonathan Owens During NFL Preseason Game

Simone Biles knows her way around an NFL sideline by now.

The seven-time Olympic gold medalist was back in familiar territory Saturday, Aug. 22, but there was a new uniform involved this time.

Biles made the trip to Indianapolis to support husband Jonathan Owens as the veteran safety suited up for the Indianapolis Colts during their preseason matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Before Owens got down to business, however, the married couple made time for each other.

Biles joined Owens on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium before kickoff, where the two were photographed smiling together and sharing a kiss on the sideline. In one particularly sweet shot, Biles looked up at her husband as Owens leaned down to kiss her.

It was a small moment before a preseason game, but also the latest glimpse at a relationship sports fans have watched play out on some of the biggest stages in both of their careers.

Biles dressed for the occasion, too.

The 29-year-old gymnast wore a black Colts top with matching black pants as she spent time with Owens before the game. Her outfit made one thing clear: She has officially updated her NFL wardrobe for the latest stop in her husband's career.

And there have been a few.

Owens entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent and has since spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. He joined Indianapolis this offseason, making the Colts the fifth NFL organization of his career.

Biles has been along for much of that journey.

She and Owens met while he was with Houston and married in 2023. Since then, NFL sidelines have become almost as familiar a setting for Biles as gymnastics arenas.

She supported Owens during his time in Green Bay and Chicago, while he has returned the favor when his NFL schedule allowed.

Most memorably, Owens received permission from the Bears to miss several training camp practices in 2024 so he could travel to Paris and watch Biles compete at the Olympics.

Two years later, it was Biles cheering him on as another football season approached.

The Colts represent a fresh start for Owens, but the scene before Saturday's game looked remarkably familiar.

Biles was there. Owens was in uniform. And before the competition began, the two carved out a moment together.

Their respective careers have often required them to navigate separate schedules, different cities and two demanding professional sports. Still, they have repeatedly made a point of showing up for one another.

Saturday offered another example.

This time, there were no Olympic medals at stake and no regular-season NFL standings to worry about. It was an August preseason game in Indianapolis. Biles still made sure she was there.

And judging by their affectionate pregame reunion, the NFL's newest Colts couple seems to be settling into its latest chapter just fine.
