AJ Brown Carries Shedeur Sanders To Fantasy Relevance In Mock Trade To Browns

The NFL offseason is in full swing, and we have already seen a handful of big trades take place. However, things have cooled down as of late. With the 2026 NFL Draft set to take place in about three weeks on April 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we expect things to pick back up soon.
There is one player whose name is constantly mentioned in trade rumors, but currently still remains with the Philadelphia Eagles. Star wide receiver AJ Brown has yet to be moved; nevertheless, his imminent trade has felt like a sure thing since their season ended in the NFC Playoffs.
While the New England Patriots have been the favorites to acquire him, those talks have seemed to cool off. The issue could be that they want a better pick than the 31st overall in the first round, which New England cannot provide. We could get a surprise team throw their hat in the ring to snag the stud wideout.

Fantasy Impact
In a move to Cleveland, Brown will more than likely have a lesser quarterback throwing him the ball, unless we get a shocking Deshaun Watson resurgence or Shedeur Sanders makes a huge leap in 2026. However, there is also more volume to go around, and he'd be a distant WR1, unlike in Philly, where he is more of a 1a with DeVonta Smith as the 1b.
For Brown directly, we'd expect to see similar numbers from him that we saw in Philly. He's good enough to maintain being a fantasy WR1 with the quarterbacks they have on the Browns.
As far as the other wide receivers around him go, back in Philadelphia, we'd expect a big boost for not only Smith, but also Hollywood Brown. In Cleveland, Jerry Jeudy would get significantly pushed back in the pecking order, as would all the other wide receivers behind him.
This move would damage Jalen Hurts' fantasy value, while potentially giving the Browns' starting quarterback a big boost. We still aren't sure who will be under center for Cleveland, though.
Why The Trade Makes Sense For The Cleveland Browns

Cleveland has been trying to establish a legitimate passing attack since they returned to the league all the way back in 1999. Adding a stud receiver could be a huge step in the right direction. They've tried similar moves with players like Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry, which didn't really pan out, but they have to try something.
Outside of the passing attack, they have put together great defenses and impressive rushing attacks with nothing to show for it. As futile as it seems for this team, they have to keep trying until they get it right.
Why The Trade Makes Sense For The Philadelphia Eagles
In this deal, they would be getting the 24th overall pick. That's about as high a pick as they could possibly get for Brown.
Nonetheless, the Browns could potentially afford to make this move because they have two first-round picks. With this pick, the Eagles could attempt to replace Brown with a much younger, cheaper, and happier rookie option.
