The fantasy football season is rapidly approaching as the start of the 2026 NFL campaign grows closer. As draft season looms, many fantasy players will look to capitalize on ADP value, avoiding players who could endure slow performances in 2026. Some stars present increased value coming into draft season, while others could be limited due to offensive inconsistency, crowded position depth or other outside factors.
Some players down draft boards will present favorable ADP, and others will struggle to match their draft position entering the year. Let’s explore four players with overvalued ADP in PPR entering 2026, who managers may look to avoid:
Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders - RB
ADP: 10.0, RB7
Ashton Jeanty is dealing with an injury that has generated a notable plummet in real-time ADP projections that will be reflected in fantasy drafts. The short-term severity of the injury to the Las Vegas Raiders’ star back has yet to be revealed, but could significantly hamper his fantasy outlook early in the 2026 season. Jeanty was slated to take on a significant role in Las Vegas’ offense this year, presenting a safe floor for fantasy production, but rookie back Mike Washington Jr. is stepping up in a big way during the preseason. If Jeanty misses time, Washington can cement a role that could take touches away from the former No. 6 overall pick for the remainder of the season.
Jeremiyah Love, Arizona Cardinals - RB
ADP: 27.0, RB13
Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is entering his rookie season with significant expectations after falling off the board with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 draft. I don’t hate his current ADP, but there’s many factors working against him in regard to his immense expectations. He’s dealing with an injury that could sideline him early in the season, and will almost certainly impact his volume through the first few games. James Conner will take touches away from the star rookie, and could limit his production early in year one. I think Love will show tremendous flashes, but there’s other backs I’d rather have at the top of the third round.
Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers - WR
ADP: 45.6, WR20
Justin Herbert has been hampered by a lack of a true No. 1 wideout early in his professional career. Those same concerns could persist for the Los Angeles Chargers’ passing attack in 2026, with McConkey and Quentin Johnston commanding the two top receiver spots. McConkey is a quality WR2, but presents concerns regarding his ceiling coming off a turbulent 2025 campaign. The Georgia product will see notable volume, which sets a safe floor in PPR leagues, though I’d expect his production to face a low ceiling again this season, potentially forcing the Chargers to shop for a high-end name at wide receiver.
Cam Skattebo, New York Giants - RB
ADP: 38.8, RB18
I’ll start this off by expressing my fandom for Cam Skattebo as a player. He’s a physical runner and routinely sheds tacklers, presenting receiving upside for fantasy managers. That said, the New York Giants’ running back room has become suddenly crowded. The team brought in veteran back and four-time 1,000-yard rusher Najee Harris, who has shown tremendous flashes during his short time with the team. Now paired with Harris, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Jaxson Dart, who presents rushing upside in his own right at the quarterback spot, Skattebo could find himself looking to cement consistent RB1 fantasy volume in a committee backfield.
