We have reached April, and there are still some big-time stars available in NFL free agency. One free agent who could be a major fantasy contributor is former Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.

The Browns moved on from Njoku, not because he's no longer good, but 2025 standout rookie Harold Fannin Jr made him expendable. Njoku still has a lot to offer and could be a high-end fantasy TE1 if he finds the right landing spot. These are the top landing spots for Njoku in free agency.

Miami Dolphins

David Njoku could go back home to where he played his college ball with the Miami Hurricanes. They are a team desperately in need of weapons, and he is an impressive athlete who would fit well in, if nothing else, a very athletic offense. He could also come cheap enough to fit in their nightmarish cap situation.

Njoku could legitimately be one of their top options in their passing attack, a role we've seen hold in the past in Cleveland. At 29 years old, he could still stick around with three or four solid years left in him to carry this team through their rebuild and into what they hope will be their ascension on the other side.

Denver Broncos

Denver took a big swing and missed last season on tight end Evan Engram. It wouldn't be a shock if Engram isn't on the Broncos' roster next season. The issue still remains in Denver that they need this role filled in Denver.

Njoku could be the perfect fit for this role. He's everything the Broncos hoped Engram would be and more. We have seen that he can handle the volume and make big plays both downfield and in the end zone. It would be very intriguing to see how Sean Payton would utilize Njoku in that offense. You could make a case that he could be a top-two pass-catcher in Denver and a fantasy TE1.

Carolina Panthers

We like Ja'Tavion Sanders, but Njoku would be a significant upgrade over Sanders and Tommy Tremble. He is much better than Tremble and much more proven than Sanders.

They would immediately upgrade their pass-catchers. With a quarterback like Bryce Young, they need to surround him with as many weapons as possible to give their offense any chance of being successful.
