Dynasty Fantasy Football Startup Mock Draft: Betting Big on 2026 Coaching Changes

Those paying close attention to fantasy football in April are surely those who play dynasty fantasy football. Who is the top draft prospect at a skill position, and how will they impact my team? That is the question we all look to answer. It seems like that answer is quite clearly Jeremiyah Love, but time will tell. Nonetheless, we do like to project how our startup dynasty fantasy football draft may play out. That can help us determine early draft strategies to dominate our dynasty league. Today, we mock draft one of those leagues.
1.1 — Bijan Robinson
Robinson is not the top-ranked dynasty player, but perhaps he should be. The Falcons bring in Kevin Stefanski and Tommy Rees to call plays. The offense will be run-first, and Robinson will touch the ball over 20 times a game with his explosive playmaking. Robinson can easily hit 2,000+ all-purpose yards with 15+ touchdowns, especially with Tyler Allgeier now in Arizona.
1.2 — Jahmyr Gibbs
Adding Drew Petzing to run this offense should only help Gibbs. Despite the offensive team's offensive struggles in 2025, Gibbs rated very highly. Now, with a run-first coordinator that had great success in Arizona with James Conner, Gibbs shall rise to be the most-used running back, arguably with Bijan Robinson.
1.3 — Ja'Marr Chase
So long as Joe Burrow is healthy, this stack is as good as it comes in the NFL. We have not seen such a dominant duo at quarterback-wide receiver since Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams. Even then, we may favor Burrow-Chase. They can easily combine to bring Chase 1,700+ yards and 15+ touchdowns.
1.4 — CeeDee Lamb
We remain unconventional, but let's be reminded that the final results will definitely not be what the current rankings suggest. We find Lamb with tremendous talent in a very favorable, extremely pass-heavy scheme with Brian Schottenheimer. Lamb is likely to overtake George Pickens as the WR1.
1.5 — Puka Nacua
Though his offseason has become very testy, Nacua is expected to be just fine for training camp and Week 1. Nacua is an unmatched talent, and he has few reasons to fail in this offense that has been rumored to trade Davante Adams.
1.6 — Ashton Jeanty
Another player that we will gamble on is Ashton Jeanty. The Raiders bring in an offensive wizard — Klint Kubiak. Should this line be better in 2026 (they will be), Jeanty is the one other running back in the NFL with 20+ touches per game potential.
1.7 — Malik Nabers
Old or new coaching, it does not matter. Nabers will probably have a 30%+ target share with a sophomore Jaxson Dart behind center. Usage is King in fantasy baseball, and few receivers will have Naber's usage.
1.8 — Jaxon Smith-Njigba
A major concern must be raised about Kubiak leaving as the Seahawks' offensive coordinator. We can see flashes of the 2025 Detroit Lions in offensive decline. Regardless, Smith-Njigba contested a 40% target share in 2025, and he will, very well, exceed 30% in 2026.
1.9 — De'Von Achane
Until and if Achane leaves town, he will rank very highly. The explosion out of Achane is rarely matched. Even if dealt, his situation may be better, as he enters his fourth year in the NFL.
1.10 — Jeremiyah Love (R)
It seems like Love is destined to join either the Titans or the Giants. No matter where Love ends up, he is a workhorse running back, primed to succeed much like Jonathan Taylor or Derrick Henry. Love is the No. 1 overall draft prospect per many sources.
1.11 — Jonathan Taylor
Taylor may be undervalued in fantasy baseball. Currently, Taylor is outside the top-15 in dynasty fantasy football rankings. However, when Daniel Jones was healthy, Taylor was fantasy football's No. 1-rated running back. He is aging, but still good for 2-4 more years of prime football. We will take his tremendous upside despite a shorter future. 2-4 years is a long time...
1.12 — Omarion Hampton
This season may very well be a coming-out party for Hampton. He dealt with an injured rookie season and did so behind the NFL's worst offensive line. Things shall only improve in 2026 as Hampton gets to high-usage ways. Do not worry about Kimani Vidal. Harbaugh will prime Hampton for a highly productive season on a high-end offense.
