TreVeyon Henderson’s Fantasy Football Stock Skyrockets After Week 10 Breakout

Fantasy owners finally got what they have been waiting for from rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson and the New England Patriots. He was a week winner in Week 10 when he carried the ball 14 times for 147 yards and two TDs, including a 69-yard touchdown run against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's without even coming close to reaching his upside, being that he can thrive as a pass-catcher and in this game caught his lone target for three years. This was the breakout we have been waiting for, and we expect it to continue for at least one more week and potentially beyond.
TreVeyon Henderson Last Man Standing In Patriots' Backfield
While there has been some disappointing play from Henderson this season, the bigger issue for fantasy production has been a lack of opportunities. One of the reasons Henderson really took off this week is that Terrell Jennings got injured in the first quarter of the game, and already had four carries. His absence opened the door for the rookies' breakout.

After Jennings left the game, D'Ernest Johnson saw just one carry for the remainder of the game and was not targeted. With Rhamondre Stevenson seemingly not close to returning this week, and Jennings' status in question, Henderson should get the backfield to himself next week.
TreVeyon Henderson's Favorable Rest of Season Schedule
In Week 11, the Pats will play the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. The Jets just traded away their top run stopper last week when they shipped off Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys before the NFL Trade Deadline. This is also a game when the game script should be in Henderson's favor, with the Patriots being heavy favorites to win this game at home.
If Stevenson continues to miss time, things will only get better for Henderson after that. In Week 12, the Pats face off with the Cincinnati Bengals. No team is allowing more fantasy points to running backs this season, and it's by a wide margin. They are allowing close to 6.5 more fantasy points per game to the position. Even if Stevenson plays, Henderson should still be a viable option in this game, but he'll be a league winner if he has the backfield to himself.
The following week, New England plays the New York Giants, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to running backs. If he can build off this week's performance, he could be a league winner for the rest of the season. In the fantasy playoffs, he faces the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and the Jets again. The Bills are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs and were just torched by a similar player in De'Von Achane, and the Ravens are even worse, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs.
TreVeyon Henderson Has Emeged As a Fantasy Football League Winner
Both Henderson's short-term and long-term outlook look great. The health of Stevenson could also be a major factor in his opportunities and fantasy production. But regardless of Stevenson's presence, the rookie has now skyrocketed to the top of New England's depth chart.
