The Broncos handed the Chiefs their first loss of the season Sunday night but suffered a loss themselves on defense.

Safety Rahim Moore is expected to miss several weeks with a lower leg injury, according to Joan Niesen and Mike Klis of The Denver Post.

The 23-year-old, who has 38 solo tackles and two interceptions in 10 games this season, left the game midway through the second quarter, but it is unclear when he sustained the injury. Mike Adams, who started at safety for most of the 2012 season, took Moore's place and will likely assume the starting role during his absence.

Moore because famous last season for his blown coverage on the Ravens' game-winning touchdown play in last year's playoffs, but he has played well this season, his third in the NFL.
