Wide receiver Leonard Hankerson will miss the rest of the season after having surgery to repair a torn LCL, according to ProFootballTalk.

Coach Mike Shanahan announced that Hankerson had suffered the injury during the team's loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Hankerson was in the midst of his best season in his three years as a pro, recording three touchdowns and 30 catches through 10 games, on pace to break his personal best of 38 receptions in 2012.

Washington will start Josh Morgan, who led the team in receptions last season with 48, in place of Hankerson against the 49ers on Monday night.
