Not only will Robert Griffin III not start on Sunday, he won't even be the Redskins' backup.
Eleven-year veteran Rex Grossman, who last threw a pass in a regular season game in 2011, will back up Kirk Cousins, who will be Washington's starter on Sunday. RGIII will be inactive, according to Jeff Darlington of NFL Network.
The 33-year-old Grossman, who took the Bears to Super Bowl XLI, has 56 career touchdown passes and 60 interceptions.
