In his press conference on Monday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said he was open to the idea of resting his starters for Kansas City's Week 17 game in San Diego.
After losing to the Colts on Sunday, the Chiefs (11-4) are locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC.

The Chargers (8-7), however, could earn the second wild-card spot with a win plus losses by the Ravens and Dolphins.
Reid said he's made no formal decision yet, but said he's "had some success with it in the past."
After a 9-0 start, Kansas City has lost four of six, including a 41-38 loss to San Diego in Week 12.
