Aaron Hernandez was seen in a surveillance video released Tuesday in Superior Court in Bristol, Ct., riding in an SUV that circled a block while waiting for the victims of a double homicide — Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado — to enter their vehicle, according to a search warrant obtained by the Hartford Courant.

"The silver SUV [Hernandez was seen riding in] pulled up next to the victims' car at a stoplight, and someone inside fired five or six shots in rapid progression, killing two and injuring one of the five men in the other car," writes the Courant's Jenny Wilson. "The warrant does not indicate whether there is evidence that Hernandez was the man who pulled the trigger."

Abreu and Furtado were in a gray BMW sprayed with gunfire the night of July 16, 2012, shortly after leaving Cure Lounge in Boston. Hernandez, who does not have a known connection to the men or a known motive for the crime, was seen in surveillance footage from the club earlier in the night.

Hernandez, who in September pled not guilty to the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd, signed a five-year, $40 million extension with the Patriots one month after the 2012 shootings.
