On the day he signed a two-year deal to avoid free agency and remain with the San Francisco 49ers, wide receiver Anquan Boldin refuted a report that suggested the build-up of a "rift" between 49ers players and head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Boldin told reporters during a conference call Monday afternoon that he "laughed" when hearing of reports that Harbaugh's act was "wearing thin" in the 49ers locker room.

"I don’t think anybody in the locker room has an issue with Coach Harbaugh. The way our locker room is built, it’s an open-door policy, and if anyone has a concern or wants to voice an opinion, they’re more than welcome to," Boldin said, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

“I don’t think there’s any rift between players and coaches, particularly coach Harbaugh. He has good rapport with all the guys I know of. There’s no gripes in the locker room when it comes to Coach Harbaugh. He wants to win and everybody in the locker room wants to do the same. We’re usually on same page and if not, we have it where we can talk to him and he can talk to us.”

Boldin suggested that much of the report was simply media hype, at a time when football news is slow and "people grab at whatever."

Ann Killion of The San Francisco Chronicle reported over the weekend that Harbaugh's act has "worn thin" with some of the "key faces" of the 49ers locker room, following weeks of reports detailing the friction between Harbaugh and 49ers general manager Trent Baalke.
