Sunderland confirm striker signing

Sunderland have confirmed the signing of young Ukrainian striker Timur Tutierov.
Last week, Ukrainian Premier League side FC Kolos Kovalivka claimed the 17-year-old had moved on to Sunderland, although there was no confirmation of the deal.
The club have now put that right, though, revealing Tutierov has signed a two-and-a-half year deal on Wearside.
He has joined the club’s Under-18s side after scoring seven goals in 15 games for Kolo’s youth team this season. Tutierov never managed to make a first team breakthrough at Kolos, although he was named in the matchday squad twice.
“We are delighted to welcome Timur to Sunderland AFC,” academy manager Robin Nicholls said. “He is an exciting prospect and we are confident that we can provide the right environment for him to continue his development.
“Timur joins an exciting selection of players within our professional development phase and the staff are looking forward to continuing their work with him.”
