These Caitlin Clark Points and Assists Statistics Are Ridiculous
Caitlin Clark continues to routinely do what no WNBA player before her has ever done. And in this case, that applies to franchises as well.
Clark registered 22 points and 10 assists in the Indiana Fever's win over the New York Liberty Tuesday, giving her 9 such games this season, the most by a single player in one season in WNBA history. Clark passed herself from 2024 for the honor.
She now has 19 career game with at least 20 points and 10 assists, which is also the most by any player—by a lot. Courtney Vandersloot (10) and Diana Taurasi (9) are next on the list, and their combined total is equal to Clark's. Of course, Taurasi appeared in 565 games, while Vandersloot has been in 451. The contest against the Liberty was the 82nd game of Clark's young career.
But not only does Clark have the most 20 and 10 games in a single season and the most in history by any individual player, she has more than any franchise but the Fever, for whom she's produced all but 2 of said games ever recorded by the franchise.

Jack Maloney of CBS Sports pointed this out as he also noted that Clark alone is responsible for about 16% of all 20-point 10-assist games all-time across the WNBA.

Kelsey Mitchell Keeps Making Scoring History
Just as Clark is producing points between her own scoring and assists at an unprecedented rate, her backcourt mate Kelsey Mitchell is doing the same thing when it comes to getting buckets.
"She's the best scorer in the league, hands down. It's not even close," Clark said of Mitchell after the win.
"A lot of these moments, they're for her, like they're special...I'm just really happy she's playing her best basketball right now."

Mitchell scored 28 on a torrid 11-16 shooting, giving her 17-straight games of dropping at least 20 points, which is already the record for a single-season. She is just 3 away from tying A'ja Wilson for most consecutive such games period.
Clark and Mitchell had accrued the highest combined point total for two teammates over a 10-game span heading into the contest against New York. They then outscored the Liberty starters by themselves in the first half.
The duo is currently averaging 46 points and 10.9 assists combined per game, making up the biggest reason why the Fever boast the most prolific offense the WNBA has ever seen to this point of the season.
