UCLA Women's Basketball: Bruins Move Into 3-Way Tie For Second Place In Conference

Onward and upward!

Your UCLA Bruins women's basketball program has now vaulted into a three-way tie for second place in the race for the Pac-12 Tournament. UCLA, the USC Trojans, and the Oregon State Beavers are now all 11-5 within their conference, with just two weeks remaining on everybody's respective regular season schedules before the competition tips off.

UCLA will square off on the road against the Arizona State Sun Devils on Thursday, and will conclude its year (prior to the forthcoming Pac-12 Tournament, that is) with another road bout, this time against the Arizona Wildcats on Sunday. Only the Stanford Cardinal's 13-3 inter-conference record is better.

The Bruins can get a first round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament if they beat both the next squads they play this week. Next up for the Bruins are road bouts against the Arizona State University Sun Devils on Thursday and the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.

UCLA is currently 22-5 overall. Led by standout sophomores Kiki Rice, a guard, and Lauren Betts, a transfer center out of Stanford, plus returning fifth-year senior guard Charisma Osborne, UCLA remains a mighty powerhouse in the women's college game, and is looking to improve on its Sweet Sixteen NCAA Tournament finish last season.
