Los Angeles Angels' 2023 Regular Season Schedule

MLB schedules will look quite a bit different in 2023, as each team will play the 29 MLB teams for the first time in baseball history. Here's a look at the Los Angeles Angels' entire schedule for the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season.

The Los Angeles Angels are now less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Angels will open the 2023 season in Oakland, playing the Athletics. They will then travel to Seattle for at three-game series with the Mariners.

The Angels will play their home opener at Angel Stadium Fri., April 7, when they host the Toronto Blue Jays. Then, they will play host to the Washington Nationals.

For the first time ever, the Angels will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. Angels fans will get a chance to see Los Angeles Dodgers stars Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts play, when the Dodgers come to town in mid-June.

The schedule change will also benefit teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. The American League West is expected to be relatively competitive in 2023, with the Houston Astros coming off a World Series title, the Seattle Mariners coming off their first playoff trip in 21 years, and the Angels and Texas Rangers each having an active offseason.

The Angels have not posted a winning season since 2015 and have not made the playoffs since 2015. Last season, they finished in third place of the AL West with 73-89 record. The Angels added Gio Urshela, Brandon Drury, Tyler Anderson and Hunter Renfroe over the winter, and hope to compete for a playoff spot in 2023.
