MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Alabama men’s swimming and diving team continued action at the 2023 NCAA Championships as Derek Maas earned a podium finish on day three in Minneapolis.

Charlie Hawke opened the night for the Crimson Tide, posting a 16th-place finish in the 200 freestyle and earning Second Team All-America honors. Alabama’s second swim of the night came from Maas as he placed eighth in the 100 breaststroke, earning First Team All-American honors and his second consecutive top-eight national finish in the event.

The 400 medley relay contingent of Matt Menke, Maas, Mateo Miceli and Kaique Alves capped the night with an 18th-place finish.

At the conclusion of day three, the Crimson Tide sits in 18th place in the team standings with 38 points.
