The University of Alabama set a poll record on Tuesday when it was in the top five of the AP Top 25 for the 56th straight time. 

The streak date back to Nov. 8, 2015. Miami previously held the record with 55 straight weeks in the top five from Oct. 8, 2000-Oct. 26, 2003.

Alabama remained a solid No. 2 in the polls after defeating Duke 42-3 in Atlanta on Saturday. 

The Top 25 went 23-0 against unranked teams to open the season
