Brittany Davis declaring for the WNBA draft was expected after performance over the last two seasons, but her legacy will be bigger than just the points, assists, and rebounds.

Davis lead the team in points and rebounds the last two seasons, after taking a year off for the birth of her child. She was instrumental in the success of Alabama and helped Head Coach Kristy Curry's turnaround of the Crimson Tide.

She averaged 17 points-per-game last the previous two years and lead the team in rebounds with seven both seasons. Davis was also named to the All-SEC Second Team in the 2021/22 season, and made the All-SEC First Team this season.

With her leaving Alabama, Davis will finish with a career total of 1,336 points, putting her just outside the top 10 all-time. She is eighth all-time in career points-per-game average with 13.4, and ninth all-time in three-pointers made over her career  with 163.

She was a big part of the success recently, with the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons ending with postseason appearances in the Women's NIT tournament Quarterfinals, and she put up a career high 33 points in Alabama's loss to Baylor in the NCAA tournament recently.

While only having three seasons at Alabama, Brittany Davis' career at The Capstone will be remembered for helping right the ship that Coach Kristy Curry was steering. It will also be remembered for the multiple postseason appearances that helped bring in some of the better recruiting classes that the program has had.

Brittany Davis leaving Alabama to go pro was something everybody expected, and her time at Alabama is something to be remembered. While the program will have to move on from one of the best to play there, the next crop of talent have her to thank for helping put Alabama back on the SEC map.
