Will Anderson's life changed on April 27 when the Houston Texans traded into the No. 3 overall selection to draft the Alabama product. The selection was a culmination of the years of hard work that Anderson had given to the game of football and validation of his talents.

On Friday, the business end of the April selection was officially hammered out and agreed upon by the Houston Texans and Anderson and his representation.

The former Alabama edge-rusher signed a four-year contract worth more than $35 million. The contract comes with the traditional fifth-year option clause for first round picks and Anderson received a signing bonus of just over $22 million.

Anderson was represented by Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports. Lynn has become a popular agent for former Crimson Tide football players. She negotiated a massive contract extension for Jalen Hurts earlier in the summer and she is in the middle of tangling with the New York Jets on behalf of Quinnen Williams.

While the money is largely already decided for NFL rookie contracts, agents and teams often battle over when that money is distributed throughout the length of the contract.

Texans will open training camp at the end of July and there's now nothing stopping Anderson from being a full participant for the new league year.
