The Alabama Crimson Tide had a very strong National Early Signing Day on Dec. 20, securing a top five recruiting class for the 2024 cycle.

That class got even better on Saturday as 4-star cornerback Zay Mincey announced his decision to join the Alabama Crimson Tide during the fourth quarter of the East vs. West All-American Bowl.

Mincey stands at 6-foot-1, 187-pounds out of Daytona Beach, Fla. He's considered the No. 4 safety and the No. 10 overall player in the state of Florida in the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports.

"Really, just a great culture. Known for winning, great coaching style and somewhere I can be the best me. I would love to play early but really I'm just looking to develop and become a better player," said Mincey to NBC.

His primary recruiter was defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson and he ultimately chose Alabama over Florida State, Miami and Florida.

Mincey joins a loaded defensive back class for the Crimson Tide. He steps in and joins Peyton Woodyard, Zabien Brown, Red Morgan, Jaylen Mbakwe, Jameer Grimsley and Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.

The defensive back got his official offer for the Tide in February and took his official visit to Tuscaloosa in October for the Tennessee weekend.

Mincey, like Daniel Hill, signed his letter of intent with Alabama in December but waited to make the announcement for television.

He helped his school go 14-1 and won the class 3A Florida state championship accumulating 30 tackles,  12 pass breakups and an interception during their eight-game regular season.
