FAYETYEVILLE, Ark.— Arkansas received a tough blow to its 2023 recruiting class with the decommitment of Jaden Baugh. The Columbia, Georgia native is considered a 4-star tailback, according to 247sports composite rankings.

After committing to the Razorbacks on May 19, Baugh received offers from USF and Alabama. He also took a trip to Gainesville when Arkansas defeated Florida, 39-36 and reportedly visited the Gators again a couple of weeks ago.

The 6-foot-2, 215 pound back rushed for 1,583 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2023. Baugh initially committed to the Razorbacks over Baugh choose Arkansas alongside Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and South Carolina.

He is currently ranked as the No. 385 prospect for the 2024 class and is considered the No. 17 ranked athlete. Arkansas currently has a commitment from Benton 4-star running back Braylen Russell. With the decommitment of Baugh, plus Raheim Sanders and AJ Green entering the portal, the Razorbacks will likely search the portal for a running back and add another true freshman.

With the decommitment of Baugh, Arkansas has suffered five defections in this cycle including 4-star receiver Courtney Crutchfield, 4-star athlete  Noreel White, 3-star offensive lineman Kai Greer, and JUCO tight end Gregory Genross.
