Arkansas Athletes Standing Their Ground on Social Media

In this story:
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Over the past few weeks, one thing has become apparent. Members of the Arkansas Razorbacks, regardless of sport, have had their fill of the crazy, unchecked things put out on social media.
What began as a two-man crusade by Lorando "Snaxx" Johnson and Rashod Dubinion of the football team has since been joined by Davonte "Devo" Davis from the men's basketball side of the Arkansas athletics department. Together, they've become their own Hogs' Justice League, taking down one internet troll at a time.
The moment that spurred Davis into action was a series of insults by the host of the "Wu-Pig Podcast" that referred to Razorback basketball player Joseph Pinion as "super trash," called him "White-Boy Rick," and then proceeded to make fun of him relentlessly for a turnover before demanding he depart Eric Musselman's team.

While a lot of the Razorbacks' clapping back began with Johnson standing up for teammates, Dubinion has fittingly taken the ball and run with it since. He's taken no prisoners while dealing with people he deems having spoken harshly while not knowing what they're talking about.
Money don’t make me playa, I come from nothing, I know how to make a way 😂💯.. learn the players b4 you speak on em https://t.co/A9NkZyyZ6l

And, of course, there's the bridge that leads back to the "League" founder, Johnson. Dubinion had remained silent through the holidays, but once Johnson went on a run of standing up for players and showing support for "real fans," that was when he felt inspired to get into the fight.

It will be interesting to see how far the coaches allow players to push back or if there are guidelines in place for doing so. Still, if fans and podcasters continue to speak openly with either bad information or in direct attack of a Razorback in the coming weeks, there's a good chance someone in an Arkansas jersey is going to take a moment to finally fight back.

Kent Smith has been in the world of media and film for nearly 30 years. From Nolan Richardson's final seasons, former Razorback quarterback Clint Stoerner trying to throw to anyone and anything in the blazing heat of Cowboys training camp in Wichita Falls, the first high school and college games after 9/11, to Troy Aikman's retirement and Alex Rodriguez's signing of his quarter billion dollar contract, Smith has been there to report on some of the region's biggest moments.
